Professional Bull Riders Invade Music City on August 15-16

PUEBLO, Colo. (August 10, 2009) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) tour bucks into Music City USA for the Jack Daniel’s Invitational, stop no. 25 on the prestigious tour. For two thrilling evenings, the top 40 bull riders in the world will take on the toughest bulls the PBR has to offer at Nashville’s Sommet Center with action getting underway on Saturday, August 15 at 7:50 p.m. and on Sunday, August 16 at 2 p.m.

PBR fans can look forward to seeing world-class riders like Jack Daniel’s rider Rocky McDonald (Col. Juarez, Mexico); 2008 PBR World Champion Guilherme Marchi (Leme, SP, Brazil); fan favorite cowboys Wiley Petersen (Fort Hall, Idaho), 2004 World Champ Mike Lee (Decatur, Texas), and Luke Snyder (Raymore, Mo.) who will compete in his 259th consecutive event; current no. 1 bull rider in the world Kody Lostroh (Longmont, Colo.); and PBR superstars J.B. Mauney (Mooresville, N.C), Zack Brown (Santa Fe, Texas), and Brian Canter (Randleman, N.C.).

Tickets are available for as little as $10 and increase to $20, $30, $50, and $100 (standard ticket fees apply).  Tickets can be purchased in person at the Sommet Center Box Office, online at Ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone at 800.745.3000.  Fans will enjoy more than two hours of rock & roll music, pyrotechnics, and an up close and personal view of The Toughest Sport on Earth!

The Jack Daniel’s Invitational will consist of three rounds of competition with the first two rounds featuring the world’s best bull riders randomly matched against the PBR’s top bulls.  The scores from the two rides will be combined and the top 15 riders will advance to the Built Ford Tough Championship Round following intermission on Sunday afternoon where they will compete with one more bull.  In the end, the rider with the highest total scores on three bulls will be declared the winner.

The Nashville event will be one of the featured stops on the 2009 Bull Team Challenge Tour where fourteen teams are competing for their a total tour purse of over $500,000.  In stop number eight of nine, the Bull Team Challenge will present $10,000 to the team whose total score is the highest for the weekend and $5,000 to the second-highest scoring team.

    We want to see all the night's events televised, not just Sat and Sun, PLEASE and also include the complete drafting of short go bulls. We can't get enough PBR....
